A historic inn with contemporary rooms

Tracing its origin all the way back to 560 AD, the Old Ferry Boat, St Ives, is widely believed to be the oldest pub in England. And whilst you can rest assured that it has been refurbished numerous times since then, it remains a hotel that blends traditional and contemporary touches to evoke its history whilst offering a modern atmosphere.

Outside, you'll see a charming exterior with a thatched roof and white stone walls. Inside, you'll find classic decor and seven en-suite rooms. Each of the rooms have large and comfortable beds as well as bright and fresh bathrooms. You'll also find free Wi-Fi if you want to stay connected while away, and the hotel even has dog friendly rooms too.

Set on the banks of the River Great Ouse, in the sleepy hamlet of Holywell, Cambridgeshire, it's a wonderful base from which to explore the stunning surrounding countryside and attractions. The historic city of Cambridge is just down the road, as is the quaint cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds. You can also enjoy a host of other natural, cultural and historic sites, from Thetford Forest and the Cromwell Museum to Hinchingbrooke Country Park and Huntingdon Racecourse.
