Bear Hotel, Hungerford, dates back to the 13th century and is one of the oldest inns in England. The charming market town of Hungerford is set in the heart of the North Wessex Downs. With characterful features throughout and beautiful landscaped gardens, The Bear is a lovely setting for a relaxing stay. Enjoy waterside views of the River Dun from our garden decking. In winter, we’ll keep you nice and snug. When you’re ready to turn in, we have 40 refurbished bedrooms, some with balconies and garden views, where you’ll find contemporary décor, comfy beds and crisp white linen for a restful night’s sleep. Many of the refurbished bathrooms have freestanding roll-top baths. Perfect for a soak after a long day.
This is a pet friendly hotel. There is limited availability on our rooms for pets and are offered on a first come, first served basis. All bookings with pets must be pre-booked - please contact the hotel directly or call 0345 608 040 to check availability and to complete your booking.
