Stay In the oldest hotel in Poole

The hotel is one of our most popular and it's easy to see why. Retaining many of its original 15th century details including dark wood panelling and exposed stonework alongside stylish contemporary features, it perfectly blends the traditional and the modern. If you're planning to celebrate your special day with us, the Antelope Inn's spacious restaurant and period features make it a fantastic venue to host a wedding breakfast.

Said to be the oldest hotel in Poole, the characterful coach house has been welcoming guests for over 500 years. Today you can enjoy a private bathroom with your room, complimentary Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee making facilities when you really need a cuppa. And if there's anything you need during your stay, the hotel reception is open from 7am until 10pm.

With single, double, twin and superior rooms to choose from you’ll find the ideal space for you. And with plump pillows, comfy beds and cosy duvets in each of the hotel’s 23 bedrooms, it’s the ideal place to rest your head. Poole Train station is just one mile away, whilst Poole Harbour – and its cross-channel ferries – is just a five-minute drive away.

Surrounded by great family attractions, there's plenty to enjoy during your stay in Poole. You can take in 2,000 years of local history at Poole Museum, just 30 yards' walk from the hotel, or stroll through the greenery of Upton Country Park only 3.5 miles away. The golden sands of Sandbanks Beach are just six miles from this dog-friendly hotel.

End your day with a relaxing, affordable meal or drink in the pub

After a full day enjoying the best of Poole, retire to the Antelope's pub restaurant to enjoy a seasonal menu of locally sourced ingredients, reasonably priced. You'll also find a cracking selection of real ales and fine wines to really round off your day in style.
