Stay in a converted 17th century country house

With its stone, exposed brick and half-timbered exterior, plus the surrounding gardens, The Roebuck Hotel, Forest Row, still looks every inch the 17th century country house it once was. That feel is continued throughout the hotel with traditional decor and period touches like open fireplaces and oak beams.

The hotel has 28 en-suite rooms that are more than up to modern standards. The beds are comfy with crisp clean linen and fluffy pillows, while the bathrooms are bright and airy and all feature their own bath for a little relaxation. You can also book a space at the Roebuck, as well as make the most of the meeting facilities - that cater for up to 150 people - if you need to hold a conference or meeting away from the office. Charges for dogs apply and need to be pre-booked by phone on 0345 608 6040.

Situated in the glorious High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and close to Ashdown Forest and the village of Forest Row, you'll find plenty to do near the Roebuck, including lots of stunning walks through fantastic countryside. Further afield, but still within easy travel distance, you'll have access to the many attractions and cultural and historical sites of the South East. You can visit Royal Tunbridge Wells, head to the ancient market town of East Grinstead, take a trip to Brighton and the coast, and so much more.

Finish your day off with a hearty family meal at the Roebuck
