The Anchor Inn is just a stone's throw from the beach itself. Saunter down the slipway and you'll soon be crunching along the pebbles. Perfect for taking the dog for a walk or blowing those cobwebs away, Beer is a charming little village to take a stroll around. Or you may fancy going further afield. The Anchor Inn is on the edge of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so there's plenty to discover nearby. Walkers flock to the 95-mile-long Jurassic Coast, England's first natural World Heritage Site, for obvious reasons. While nearby you'll find everything from Slade House Farm Donkey Sanctuary and Axe Valley Wildlife Park to Beer Quarry Cave and Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium.
