Making the most of your stay
There’s so much to see and do all year round near the Riverside Inn, whether you’re looking for some fresh air in the countryside or to explore the medieval town of Shrewsbury for some sightseeing.
Almost surrounded by the River Severn, the medieval town of Shrewsbury is just a short drive away with its imposing red sandstone castle (now a regimental museum), boasting Tudor architecture, beautiful parks like the spectacular 29-acre parkland on the riverside – the Quarry, and fascinating museums and historic sites such as the prison and the Music and Art Gallery. If you’re looking to delve more into history, why not travel a little further fown the River, towards Talford, where you’ll find some more historic landmarks reflecting the local industrial revolution heritage such as the Iron Bridge and Tollhouse and the Ironbridge Gorge Museum.
We’re also surrounded by the beautiful Shropshire hills, so if you’re looking to venture into the great outdoors for some country walks during your stay, you’ll have plenty of trails to choose from!
